SYNOPSIS
"From Slum to Olympic Glory" follows the extraordinary life of Cynthia Ogunsemilore, who rises from poverty and adversity in the slums of Bariga, Lagos, to pursue her dream of becoming an Olympic champion in boxing.
Despite facing skepticism and opposition due to her gender and background, Cynthia discovers her passion for boxing at a young age and embarks on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. With unwavering determination and the support of her family and coach, Cynthia overcomes numerous obstacles, including societal expectations, financial struggles, and self-doubt, to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, becoming only the second Nigerian female boxer to ever win a spot at the Olympics.
As she trains relentlessly and competes on the world stage, Cynthia seeks to not only secure a place in Olympic history but also inspire black women around the world to embrace their own greatness.
